The chain of reasoning.

 In order to find a perfect solution Business Analyst (BA) breaks the problem and analyse them by linking each of them in to a logical chain. It is a chain of events that are necessary in a project to get a perfect solution (last link in the Business analysis chain) from a problem (first link in the Business analysis chain). The first link in the project may be in form of a problem or an opportunity and the last link may be in form of a precise definition to tackle the problem in a most appropriate form or a solution to capitalise the opportunity ¬- Philosopher Hume explains the Chain of reasoning informs the every check point where the business analysts have to make a reasonable choice to get perfect solution.

Each logical step in the chain of reasoning depends on its predecessor. If any one step is neglected or ignored, it can change the whole out come of the project. As mistakes made in the early stage have a greater impact on the whole project. So we should be precisely careful in the early stages of the project to avoid grater damage. The damage is rationally propitiated to the size of the company’s project.

 




The project can be stated as a successful if the most prioritised Business benefits can be significantly traced through its requirements to the business drives. A project can be a successful with out following this chain of stages, but we cannot calculate or measure the degree of success of the solution. The chain of reasoning can also termed as the measuring tool of business success.

Let’s discuss about each stage and how they are inter-related to each other.

Drivers:

Drives are the initial stages of the Business Analyst project. This is a necessity of a business when there is a change in the technology (availability of new technology) or when a business needs to expand its operations to new fields. All change projects begin with a problem or a need to achieve a new business or a need to change to achieve a different result like to cut its production costs or to improve its service or to implement new legislation. These reasons are known as drivers that drive the need for this project. As most projects have multiple drive which cannot be neglected, as it has unique impact on overall vision. Problem can be derived in to various drives which constitutes the project. If a single driver is neglected, it will lead to a different vision which may or may not be appropriate with the project.

Vision:

The way the business can perform after completion of the BA's project is a vision. It a projection of the organisation’s response after its drive is successfully answered and when no further change is required. It defines drivers response, in future how the business will look like after its completion. The project deliverance or changes can be defined and realised after the business vision of the project is agreed like a new business process may be needed or an existing process may need streamlining. This can be in other form known as Business Goal. The vision can be realised in long term future, with several change projects according to its requirement. By understanding the vision the company can be able to check whether or not they are in a right direction towards realising the goal.

Goal:

it is realisation of business process of how a project will be going to achieve its vision. If the path to realise is not clear then the goal will be missing. A series of business objectives underpin the goal of the project.

Business Objectives:

Business objectives provide means to measure the degree to which the goal has been achieved. It defines how the achievement of goal is measured. Therefore business objectives must have a means of measurement and an expected values (defined as business benefits) associated with them. It defines how the success will look in materialistic form and how will the project justify the expenditure incurred. It is a must measurable tool to ascertain whether the project is accurately refined to the terms of the vision agreed.

Business Requirements:

Business requirements are the needs of operation or defined as detailed capabilities which are required to achieve objectives and realise the benefits from it. To confirm the validity of a project we must clear linkage between business requirements and its objectives. If the requirement is not able to show its contribution towards nay of its objectives then it is not validated. We can discover the gaps in the early stage by this validity of business requirements than later which can have a serious consequences if discovered.

Business Design:

The proposal of solution/solutions to the business requirements is a business design. It may be various solution to the given requirement. A function of a design is how the automated solution will work. While the business requirements are expected to be satisfied by the way of performance of the automated solution with out considering the technical aspects of the design. A careful analysis is required with out skipping the reality of how the design is to be worked on. Organisations should not interfere with the designers and are given full freedom from any unnecessary constraints. Thus within the restraints of technology, the designers propose the solutions that will best satisfy the requirements which are developed to achieve the objectives of the project.

Business Solution:

A solution is which solve the problem the the drivers has shown on the first stage. They help us to realise the benefits that are acquired form the project.

Female foeticide

What is the root cause for female foeticide?

Dictionary meaning of foeticide : destruction or abortion of a fetus; especially illegal abortion. 

Female foeticide is an illegal act done by aborting a female fetus after determining the sex. This test like ultra-sonography (ultra sound), is usually done to know the abnormalities in the fetus. But it is misused to selective abortions by finding the sex of fetus. Female foeticide can be said as a violence on the human kind, especially to women. This is another form of violating the human rights of the unborn who has every right to see this world.

Sex selection can be termed as root cause for female foeticide. This is due to low status of women shown in our society.It may be concern safety of the girl, differences shown by in-laws, exploitation and abuse of women that has a immense effect on preferring son to daughter. The deep rooted tradition of dowry has fuelled more. It is a costly affair to raise, educate and get married (wedding expenses and dowry paid my the brides parents)a girl when compared to a boy. So girl is termed as a paraya dhan in many places in our society. These effect in many ways like negligence of girl child, denial or limited access to education and health, discrimination in the house, exposing to household labour and domestic violence. The customary practices like the Inheritance runs through males only, the son can only perform the last rite are also determining factors in sex selection.

Some other may be in the form of affordable procedures for sex determinations during pregnancy. It is much cheaper to go for abortion of girl child than to rise, educate and meet the expense of her marriage. The unethical medical practices and family norms are also some causes for female foeticide.

Government announced many rules and restrictions to avoid and condemn the female foeticide. They also announced many incentive schemes (paying premium by the government to educate the girl) to encourage families to rise a girl child. If the unethical medical practices won't stop it is not possible to stop the female foeticide.
